Fuji Tread
Fuji’s Tread 1.5 model is in for some gravelly miles.

Riding Gravel has just taken delivery of a Fuji Tread 1.3 bike that Fuji bills as a “Lifestyle-Cross Terrain” bike, but are eager to have known as a good choice for a gravel road/back road rig. The 1.3 sits in the middle of a three model range that tops out with the 1.1 at a nice, sub-$1100.00 price. The Tread 1.5 sits in a $769.00 and this test model, the 1.3, is listed at $919.00.

Stay tuned for our “Getting Rolling” post coming soon and we’ll see if this sort of bike is a good choice for the gravel road enthusiast.

  1. I just heard you talk briefly about this on the podcast. I’m all ears! Really hoping to score a more versatile bike this year!

  2. I’d like to know what your opinion is on this bike. I just ordered a 2015 Fuji Tread 1.5. I test road a lot of bikes before pulling the trigger on the Tread. This is my first Gravel/Adventure road bike, I’ve always had traditional road bikes. I wanted to try something a little more versatile and think the new Tread fills that b■x nicely. All three models are reasonbly priced with good components. Performance Bike also has a Performance exclusive Tread 1.0. It’s equipped with 105 components, Clement X’Plor USH tires and is very nice looking.
