WTB Announces Wider Vulpine Tires: WTB’s excellent Vulpine 700 X 36mm tires (reviewed here) were met with much fanfare by riders who tried them but WTB kept hearing that the tire needed to be available in a wider width. WTB has now answered the calls for that with their new 40mm versions of the Vulpine.

Now available in black wall in the SG2 cut protection version, the Vulpine will also feature 120TPI casings. Another version in a 60TPI casing with tan side walls will also be available without the SG2 protective belt. WTB says the tires are available now through their site and will be at dealers soon. MSRP is $76.65 for the SG2 version and $65.95 for the tan side wall version. Look for an upcoming review on this tire here soon.

(“S” for “Soft” terrain) The Gravel S has a tread pattern derived from Pirelli’s Scorpion S XC MTB tires and is tailored for the best traction characteristics on gravel trails.

Available in 700c X 40mm or 45mm widths in black side wall or Pirelli’s “Classic”, brownish-tan side wall, these tires will run $82.90 for the 40mm and $84.90 for the 45mm width for each tire. (Prices are USD) Pirelli also stated that a 700 X 50mm and a 650B X 50mm size would be available by Spring 2023.

Wolf Tooth now offers a lock-on grip with their Echo Lock-On grip.

Wolf Tooth Echo Lock-On Grips: Gravel Grinder News has not forgotten about you folks who ride with flat bars, and neither has Wolf Tooth. They announced a new lock-on variant of their Echo grip today which comes in 8 anodized colors for the lock-on collar. The collar, which is aluminum, of course, fixes the grip to your bar via a 3mm hex-head screw.

The grips were developed by Wolf Tooth with a 20A durometer rubber in black. This and the molded in, alternating diagonal pattern provide excellent grip characteristics and comfort for the rider’s hands. Wolf Tooth Echo Lock-On Grips are available now from Wolf Tooth and Wolf Tooth dealers for $24.95 a pair.
