Gravel Grinder News: Salsa Cycles Debuts 2020 Warbirds – by Guitar Ted
Salsa Cycles has released the images for their 2020 line up of Warbird bikes. This is largely a color update here, as the Warbird received a major frame and fork redesign last season. The big news for 2020 is the GRX components featured on some of the bikes in the range.
Featuring several bikes with the new GRX components which Shimano introduced last year, (and which Riding Gravel is still reviewing), the new Warbirds still have all the salient features of the range introduced last year. Big tire clearances, dual wheel size capabilities, lots of accessory attachment points, and the Class V VRS vibration damping system.
The new line up is dominated by the Shimano group, as mentioned, with three out of the five models offered being spec’d with the component giant’s newest group. The mechanical GRX 800 group is on the bike shown above. Following is a look at the other GRX bikes.
Of course, there are some SRAM Apex offerings as well. Let’s take a look there….
There is also a frame and fork offered which is matte/gloss black.
The MSRP pricing for the U.S.A. is as follows:

Based upon the information we received from Salsa Cycles the availability of these 2020 models should be sometime late in February at most Salsa Cycles dealers.
