Fresh Gravel: Feedback Sports Omnium Trainer debuts at Eurobike: Fall is coming on fast, and the days grow shorter. Your regular after-work ride gets cut back due to darkness and then the guys decide to hang it up for the year. Maybe it is time to think about a trainer.
So, we just got word about a cool little number that just was introduced at the Eurobike show last week. It is a collaboration between Feedback Sports and SportCrafters Inc. This isn’t an ordinary trainer though. It is highly portable, and really, it probably would be best used as a pre-event/race warm up tool. The trainer folds up and stows in its own bag, and can be toted on board aircraft as a carry on as it meets TSA carry-on regulations.
Here are some bullet points we were forwarded about this little unit:
- Progressive magnetic resistance
- No assembly required–simply unfold and mount bike.
- Does not wear race tires like rear-locking trainers
- Bearings are greased and sealed, requiring no maintenance
- Includes heavy-duty, padded tote bag for transport and storage
- Folded dimensions: 25.75″ x 7.25″ x 8″
- (66 cm x 18 cm x 20 cm)
- Accepts forks w/ standard QR, 12 & 15 mm, 115 & 110 thru axles
- Accommodates wheel sizes 600c – 700c, 26″-29″
- Aluminum drums: 4.0″ diameter, double-wall design
- Rider weight limit: 300 lbs

Feedback Sports are probably best known for their red anodized work stands, scales, and bike storage products. I have an older version of their work stand and it is really nice, so I would have the expectation that this trainer would be of similar quality. While I am not the “trainer type”, personally, this trainer looks like a much more versatile unit and should do more than your typical trainer can for you.
