Fresh Gravel: New Wolf Tooth Eliptical 1X Chainring Offerings-
We’ve posted about the new, round chain ring offerings from Wolf Tooth, the Minneapolis, Minnesota based company that have been doing 1X stuff for a few years now, and now they have another dump of 1X chain rings to offer. Check out the words sent to us in their press release….
Wolf Tooth is now shipping Drop-Stop® Elliptical chainrings for Shimano’s XT M8000, Shimano’s 110 BCD 4-bolt road/cx, and Race Face’s Cinch Fat Bike Cranks that need a special Reverse Dish chainring for the correct chainline..
Having the chain rings for Shimano XT mtb cranks and Race Face’s fat bike cranks is nice, but what caught our eye was the road based rings that will swap right in on your Shimano 11 speed, asymmetrical BCD crank sets. Easy 1X action with the “benefit”, (that’s an argument for another day), of the eliptical ring, which is claimed to allow riders to push a bigger gear with less fatigue and make pedaling more efficient.
You can get these chain rings now, (click here), and the cost for the road version is $78.95USD. Rings are available in the following sizes: 38T, 40T, 42T, 44T.

Wolftooth… get yourself an Endless 1x chainring
Hello, I would like to ask a question, I am building a gravel mullet, Specialized diverge expert 2020, size 52, and I will mount it with a 1×12 ratio, with rival axs shifters and Sram eagle GX Axs, the cassette will be 10-52, and I would like to use a 44t chainring, but my question is if the original Sram ealge chain with 126 links is the right size for this? Won’t links be missing in the chain? I’m not finding bikes mounted with this configuration, so my question! I thank the attention. Thanks
