From time to time, I have experienced great joy along when mountaineering or riding gravel…. but this summer took such experiences to another level.

The recycled fabric seems tough, stretchy, and washes well in the laundry. I have no issues with the fabric and the recycled element to it makes me feel good about my impact on the environment.

The VIS Trail Pro is my choice of the test for a light that is mostly used in the dirt and at speeds under 30mph. The warm color tint and the useful UI; the quality build with high levels of water resistance…it’s a very nice light.

My take on these two lights is that they would be great for the serious night rider who is out in the dark on a regular basis.

So far they have been what I remembered them to be…solid performing wheels. Pick up is not the snappiest thing I have felt, but I am comparing them to wheels 300g lighter and almost twice as much money. Compared to the stock wheel set, they are like pulling off logging boots and stepping into sneakers.

Hot on the heels of Cannondale’s recent announcement of the 2020 Topstone Carbon, it’s time to wrap up the review of the 2019 Topstone 105 we’ve been testing since early-May.

Named after a favorite gravel route near Cannondale’s headquarters, the Topstone is the company’s second gravel model. Unlike its stablemate, it cuts a more traditional ‘gravel bike’ profile, rolling on 700c wheels, with stated clearance for up to 42c tires.
