Last week we published our second Riding Gravel Radio Ranch, (listen to it here if you haven’t yet), and in that podcast, Bobby Wintle, our guest, talked about “unlearning“. I was reminded of his thoughts while out on my ride Sunday as I pulled up to cross this busy, four lane U.S. Highway. I saw all the people speeding along in their little cocoons and heard all the noise from the tires and engines. Dead ahead I saw the climb on Mount Vernon Road and the calm and peace beyond that hill on the horizon. I know which road I’m choosing!
