Wolf Tooth “Supple Lite” Handle Bar Tape: Wolf Tooth introduced a new handle bar tape called “Supple Bar Tape” in June of 2020 featuring a 5mm thickness and a 40mm width. That tape might have been a bit too thick for some, so now Wolf Tooth has added a “Supple Lite” bar tape which debuts today. The tape is 2.5mm thick and also is 40mm wide, which is quite a bit wider than most handle bar tapes. Here is more information from Wolf Tooth’s press release:
- EVA foam compound absorbs vibrations and conforms to your hands for greater comfort.
- Thickness can be adjusted from 2.5mm to 5mm based on the amount of overlap in your wrapping.
- Easy to install. 3M adhesive backing keeps tape securely in place.

Wolf Tooth claims it had tested this Supple Lite tape for two years and that it excels in all conditions. Wolf Tooth claims that the Supple Lite bar tape will provide more comfort and can be customized to have 2.5mm thickness to as much as 5mm thickness, depending upon how it is wrapped on a handle bar. Two rolls of tape, finishing plugs, and polyurethane finishing tape are included in the box for $29.95 USD. KOM Cycling Introduces The KOM Tube Strap and KOM Saddle Tool Roll: Fans of minimalist storage ideas will be interested in this next Gravel Grinder News item. The new KOM Tube Strap and the KOM Saddle Tool Roll are both items you may be familiar with, but KOM has added a new twist to the idea, or shall we say, a new ratchet dial?
